Achieving Excellence Together

MGM Academy is committed to empowering students with complex learning disabilities to recognize and optimize their full potential. We strive to make children confident and creative builders of their future.

Our mission is to provide individualized education that addresses students’ unique learning styles, cultivates independent thought, and promotes the building of character, enabling them to contribute to their communities in meaningful and positive ways.

MGM provides the best academic program and learning environment possible for the comprehensive education of students who have special needs. Our goal is to facilitate the development of self-confidence and to provide our students with the academic foundation necessary for them to reach their true potential and enjoy a successful experience in higher education.

Our focus is on the whole child. We work toward an integrated curriculum that reaches across disciplines and age levels; the students are encouraged to meet academic challenges with openness, enthusiasm, and a willingness to solve problems. We aim for an atmosphere of cooperation, with respect for individual differences and community values.

Our vision is to provide a joyful learning environment that empowers children to reach their educational and personal potential while nurturing their self-confidence and self-esteem.

We ensure every student’s intellectual and emotional growth and promote effective citizenship. By offering a diverse curriculum and cultural experiences, we meet the individual needs of our students.

MGM Academy is committed to providing high-quality, flexible, individualized educational experiences in a safe, technology-enabled learning environment to empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

The School staff, students, parents, and school partners work together to achieve our mission through a process of continuous improvement and professional development based on the Expected School-wide Learning Results outlined below for School Culture, Engagement, Instruction, and Achievement.

We value quality in education.  We want our students to be properly challenged such that they are adequately prepared to face their next step in life, whether it is college or career. We value quality teachers who are eager to see their students succeed, and we expect students to produce work to the best of their ability, and not turn in assignments with the intent of doing just enough to get by.

 Honesty & Integrity

We value honesty and integrity.  We do not make misleading statements in order to “make a sale” to prospective parents or students, or “look good” to accreditation agencies and the government; we strive to present the aspects of our school as accurately as possible.  We conduct our daily operations with honesty and integrity in mind, and expect our students to do the same.

A great education carries with it an obligation to self, family, and community. From the Elementary School’s Good Citizenship program to the Middle and High School’s Honor Code, service to others, empathy, honesty, integrity, and good citizenship are at the core of The Meadows experience.

Successful education requires a three-way partnership between students, teachers, and parents. Families are welcomed to campus as active participants in a school community forged around a common appreciation for the transformative power of a top-flight educational experience.

Our strengths are all different, and our differences are our greatest strengths. Students and teachers value the unique qualities of each individual as vital to the shared educational experience.

Education is a journey, not a destination. We provide students with the freedom to explore athletics, arts, speech & debate, and other extracurricular activities as central parts of their educational experience. At The Meadows, students develop a love of learning by having the chance to learn what they love.
