CONSTRUYENDO PUENTES

MGM Academy has compiled social skills strategies and information from experts, teachers, and families, along with useful tools to help enhance opportunities to be part of the community. Using this information and our experience over the past eight years, we have created a program called “Construyendo Puentes” which translates from Spanish to Building Bridges.

Construyendo Puentes (CP) focuses on building up social skills in children and youth ages 6-21 through interventions that enhance participation in the community and support outcomes like happiness and friendships. These social skills promote building friendships, learning from others, and developing hobbies and interests. These skills also help with family relationships and provide children and youth with a sense of belonging and integration.

It is important to MGM that we also provide clinicians who reflect the community we serve to reduce barriers to access and increase treatment acceptance throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
