WHY MGM?

 

MGM offers a comprehensive education program with integration of social-emotional learning for students in kindergarten through 12 grades. Each student follows a personalized academic path that meets students where they are and mitigates gaps in learning.
The program is fully online and allows teachers to employ targeted instruction and intervention to set students on a path toward academic success, emotional and social growth.
Upon enrollment, students will receive access to our online learning platform with access to the courses. 
In addition, each student is administered an adaptive diagnostic assessment in reading, language arts, and math that pinpoints students’ individual learning gaps and academic strengths. Performance on this assessment will help benchmark learning needs. 
After the assessment, all students automatically receive an individualized learning path of a self-paced curriculum which is used in combination with direct instructions and activities to exceed academic success and growth. Students are reassessed two times during the school year to measure progress.

Wondering how to get started in enrollment for our K–12 online program? MGM Academy has the simple step-by-step instructions below. 

Getting Started Guide

  •  Click the ENROLL NOW tab on the top of the page
  •  You are going to be prompted to create an account in our Learning Management System
  •  Once you create the account, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your account to begin the enrollment process.
  •   Click the blue button saying confirm your account
  •   You will be taken to our enrollment platform, and you will be prompted to enter your password
  • Once you entered your password, you have confirmed your account
  •  Click continue
  • You will need to enter your password again to begin the enrollment process
  •   You will be prompted to complete our enrollment form. This process will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
  •   Once you complete the enrollment information, you will receive an email with enrollment confirmation.

What happens next?

  • Once you apply, we will review the information to determine acceptance
  • Within 24 hours, you will receive a confirmation email regarding your application status. If the child is accepted, the email will state that the student was accepted to MGM Academy.
  • Students will be enrolled into the Learning Management System, Genius. You will receive an email with the student’s login. The learning platform is where students will access their courses and communicate with their teachers.
  • Once students are enrolled, teachers will welcome the students and families for an initial introduction, to share getting started best practices, and explain expectations with a welcome letter or a welcome phone call.
  • Once student’s login, they will be assessed utilizing an adaptive diagnostic assessment to identify areas of strengths and needs across a K-12 learning progression. Based on their performance, students will receive a customized learning path of self-paced curriculum guided by certified teachers.
  • Progress is monitored throughout the school year.

Individual Courses 

Once the student has purchased a course or courses, no refunds will be made. If you have any questions about MGM Academy’s refund policy, please contact an admissions representative. You will be asked to acknowledge this policy during the enrollment process; exceptions to this policy are not offered.

Full-Time Enrollment Student

The date a student withdraws will determine what, if any, percentage of total private school tuition may be refunded. Please note that refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed. In some instances, a family may owe a final tuition payment at the time of withdrawal.
All refunds or final payments will be calculated when reviewing the family’s account as part of the withdrawal process.
The registration fee ($200) paid at the time of enrollment is non-refundable.

We offer 10% discount for Full Payment. We offer a payment plan. Tuition payment is due on the first of each month. A $50 late fee will apply to accounts that pay after the 5th of the month.

TUITION CONTRACT

Parties This PRIVATE SCHOOL TUITION CONTRACT (“Contract”), made by and between Sai Rivero, School Director of MGM Academy of Excellence (“School”) located at 8040 NW 155th Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33016 and (“Client”). In consideration of the mutual promises and covenants in this Contract, of which the receipt and sufficiency are hereby acknowledged, the parties further agree to the terms as follows: Nature of the Contract The Client agrees to pay tuition for the educational services as defined in the student’s education program from the School. Furthermore, the School agrees to provide the educational services described in the student’s education program in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the Indiana Department of Education. The Company and the Client agree to comply with the requirements enforced by the Commissioner of Education and the Department of Education. Terms and Conditions • TERM. This Contract will be effective for the current School Year. The contract will be renewed every year, automatically until it is cancelled. • WARRANTIES OF THE SCHOOL. The School warrants that it operates according to the applicable federal and state laws and rules and regulations of the Indiana Department of Education. The School guarantees that it will not discriminate against any employee or student regardless of race, creed, color, disability, national origin, ancestry, or gender identity. • TUITION FEE. The Client agrees to pay the School a tuition fee of $500 each month for the entire school year. The Client shall pay an initial deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) upon signing this Contract. The initial deposit amount will be deducted from the total bill due at the end of the school year. • LATE FEE. The Client shall pay the School the monthly tuition due no later than the first (1st) week of each month. If the monthly tuition is not paid twenty (20) days after it is due, the Client will be charged $50 per month on the unpaid balance. • PAYMENT METHOD. The Client will pay the specified fees above to the School via an electronic invoice. • WITHDRAWAL. The Client must pay the remaining tuition fees for the rest of the school year if the student is withdrawn from the school for any reasons other than the School’s request or a mutual agreement during the school year. Any requests for a refund by the Client must be first agreed in writing with the School. • ENTIRE CONTRACT. This entire Contract is governed by the State of Florida and shall bind the parties until its termination.
